The Jerry Falwell Library at Liberty University has announced the launch of a new digital collection of books authored or co-authored by Liberty co-founder Dr. Elmer Towns.
Thanks to Town’s generosity, the books have been digitized and are available for free through the university’s institutional repository, Scholars Crossing. The open-access repository includes scholarly and creative works produced by students and faculty of the university and is accessible by anyone with an Internet-enabled device.
Towns co-founded the university with Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr. in 1971 and has served many important roles, including professor (he was the only full-time teacher during Liberty’s first year of classes) and dean of the John W. Rawlings School of Divinity (formerly the Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary and the School of Religion).
Towns has written more than 170 books and has lectured and taught seminars at more than 110 theological seminaries and colleges nationwide and abroad.
