LU Co-Provost, Dallas pastor to speak in Convocation next week

After a full week off for Thanksgiving break, Liberty University Convocation will resume on Monday, Nov. 27. Students will hear from LU Co-Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ben Gutierrez, who will be sharing with students how they can equip themselves to be leaders with a vision. Gutierrez has spoken in Convocation on numerous occasions.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Liberty will welcome Robert Morris, founding senior pastor of Gateway Church in Dallas/Fort Worth. Morris is the bestselling author of 14 books, including “The Blessed Life” and “The God I Never Knew.” He is featured on the daily television program, “The Blessed Life,” and hosts “Worship & the Word,” which airs on radio stations across the country. Morris will be talking about the importance of generosity in a world that is centered around self-interests.
Convocation will not be held in the Vines Center on Friday, Dec. 1. Instead, some academic departments have scheduled their own Alternative Convocations. Students will be contacted by their departments with details.
Convocation will resume in the Vines Center on Monday, Dec. 4, with special guests to be announced next Monday.
