2017 President’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching announced

Liberty University has announced the 2017 President’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching: Dr. Brianne Friberg, associate professor of psychology; Robert Ritchie, assistant professor of history; Dr. Ellen Black, professor of eduction; and Dr. Amanda Dunnagan, instructional mentor and assistant professor of English.
These prestigious awards recognize faculty dedicated to outstanding teaching in both the residential and online classrooms. Several areas of teaching are considered, including the use of instructional technology, the integration of faith into learning, innovation, and a commitment to the personal growth of each student. Winners are selected based on peer recommendations, deans’ endorsements, nominee responses to specific prompts, and student letters. Recipients will receive monetary gifts and be formally honored at their school or college’s individual degree presentation ceremonies during Commencement.
