Liberty University’s Worship Collective led worship for Student Leadership University’s Youth Pastor Summit, April 4-5, at the Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla. The two-day event featured prominent speakers, including author and church planter Francis Chan, author/speaker Brent Crowe, and David Nasser, Liberty’s senior vice president for Spiritual Development.
Student Leadership University has provided the Youth Pastor Summit as a free conference for youth pastors and their teams for 19 years. The events expose guests to influential speakers, learning opportunities, worship, and free resources for student ministries. During the event, youth pastors are encouraged and uplifted to continue their work in the lives of students.
The Worship Collective performed three times at the conference for more than 5,000 youth pastors.
Hope Cross, one of 10 members of the Worship Collective, said it was a privilege to minister to the youth pastors in attendance.
“Youth pastors are constantly pouring into their ministries and do not get time to sit back and soak in without worrying about details of the service,” she said. “We wanted to pour into the youth pastors and give them an opportunity to worship freely without any responsibilities nagging at them.”
The Worship Collective will also perform at Youth Pastor Summit events next week in Dallas and again at the end of April in Nashville, Tenn. The team will travel this summer and lead worship at youth camps and churches.
Liberty’s Worship Collective recently landed a 20-city tour with Student Leadership University to lead worship for Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 events.
Another traveling group in the Worship Collective family, the Sounds of Liberty, performed Thursday, April 7, in Washington, D.C. at the Center for Christian Statesmanship’s 20th anniversary celebration. The event featured main speaker Steve Green, president of Hobby Lobby.
