Romney Commencement speech makes YouTube top 10 list

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s speech at Liberty University’s 2012 Commencement made YouTube’s top 10 commencement videos of the year. The video has over 44,000 views.

Joining Romney on the list was President Barack Obama, as well as actors Jane Lynch and Andy Samberg, and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

During his speech to Liberty’s graduating class, Romney emphasized family values, hard work, and the importance of faith in action.

“Whether the cause is justice for the persecuted, compassion for the needy and the sick, or mercy for the child waiting to be born, there is no greater force for good in the nation than Christian conscience in action.”

With over 34,000 in attendance, this year’s Commencement was the largest in Liberty’s history. The ceremony honored 14,012 graduates, the largest-ever graduating class.

A plethora of local, national, and even global media covered the event. Read more about the media coverage in the latest issue of the Liberty Journal.
