Washington, D.C., interns proud of capital experience

This fall’s Washington Semester interns have completed their internships and returned to campus to enjoy a luncheon with Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. and his wife, Becki, and Dr. Boyd Rist, Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, on Tuesday.
Liberty University’s internship program in our nation’s capital offers a unique opportunity for juniors and seniors of all majors to gain pre-professional experience through a wide range of internships and professionalism training for their future careers.
The fall interns and their job sites are as follows:

• Calista Rollogas: United Service Organizations (USO)
• Danny Torres: Competitive Enterprise Institute
• David Gehman: International Association Chiefs of Police (IACP)
• Elyse DeQuoy: International Business-Government Counselors
• Heather Karel: Congressman Peter Hoekstra
• Heather Piper: Concerned Women of America (CWA)
• Hyemi Oh: United States Business and Industry Council
• Jacob Mann: Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC)

Liberty University’s Washington Semester Internship Program is now under the management of Liberty’s Career Center, but the goal remains the same: to train and equip young leaders by providing students with practical training and educational opportunities in and around the nation’s capital.
