Summer Orientation for Students with Autism or Related Disabilities Pilot Program
The Summer Orientation Program for Students with Autism or Related Disabilities is a comprehensive two-week pilot program designed to equip students for a successful transition to Liberty University.
Students will move in early to their fall dorm assignment, dine in the dining hall, enroll in UNIV 101 (1-credit hour course), and interact with fellow students in a variety of activities. Afternoon sessions will include introductions to key services and departments across the university, and interactive training to improve self-regulation and self-determination.
We have partnered with the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) to provide workshops for students that focus on workplace readiness, independent living skills, and self-advocacy.
The 2023 Summer Orientation Program for Students with Autism or Related Disabilities is scheduled from August 6 to August 20, 2023. The program is no longer accepting applicants for the 2023 year.
The Program Fee of $1,545 includes housing (early move-in), meals, UNIV 101 tuition, books/materials, activities, peer mentoring, and a t-shirt.
