Student Activities Office ramps up recreational opportunities

Liberty University’s Student Activities Office aims to give students the “ultimate” college experience by offering both on-campus events and trips. “Ultimate LU,” an initiative started this year, involves getting more students active in recreation and fellowship opportunities.

About 20 students headed to Alpine Ministries in Beckley, W.Va, on Friday afternoon. They enjoyed a bonfire before going to sleep in their cabins. On Saturday, the group left to go rafting on the New River.

Also on Saturday, about 50 students went on a tubing trip on the local James River. They ate a box lunch on the water.

Other outdoor trips planned include hiking and horseback riding.
