Liberty University’s rapid increase in enrollment — now at 11,300 resident students and 39,000 distance learners — has affected its Information Systems division as well. As the university’s online learning management system and student self service portal began to experience high volumes, upgrades were needed.
A recent issue of “Campus Technology” highlights the efforts of Liberty’s IS department to accommodate this growth in an article, “Feeling Data Squeeze, Liberty U Installs New NetApp SANs.”
