Professor seeks to combat pastoral burnout

May 15, 2012 : Liberty University News Service

Dr. Daniel Henderson, a Liberty University professor and president of Strategic Renewal International, will be among a panel of speakers at The 6:4 Fellowship’s national conference in Indianapolis, Ind., this weekend, May 18-19.

The organization, founded by Henderson in late 2010, is a ministry to pastors with the purpose of combating pastoral burnout and dropout. It serves as an interdenominational, pastor-to-pastor network of resource sharing and encouragement.

Research suggests that over 1,000 pastors leave, not retire from, the ministry every month. It was for this reason Henderson decided to start the fellowship.

Henderson will join other key speakers, including John MacArthur, H.B. London, Mark Vroegop and Jim Cymbala.
