Students attend intensive classes on campus

Students attend the Counseling Technique and Helping Relationships intensive class being held at Campus North this week.

Shortly after resident students left campus for spring break last Friday, a new round of one-week intensive classes started this week at Liberty. More than 300 students from around the country descended on campus for one of 13 classes in Church History, Leadership, Counseling, Health, Homiletics, Intercultural Studies and Worship.

The week kicked off with a welcome luncheon at the Tolsma Indoor Track where students were welcomed and encouraged by Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Dr. Ron Hawkins, Vice Provost of Liberty University Online and Graduate Programs. Hawkins commended students on their discipline, saying that the miracle of Liberty can be realized in every student here.

While intensives held during school breaks are often attended by resident students, Falwell said that they are also “a great way for Liberty University Online students to experience our campus and interact with fellow classmates and faculty.” Referring to the many capital improvements in progress around campus, Falwell assured students that the university was making “major capital investments” in its online resources, as well.

Intensive classes will also be held each week throughout the summer. For more information on intensive classes and a complete schedule, visit Liberty University Online.

With more than 32,000 students, Liberty University Online offers 36 degree programs in over 90 specialized areas of study.
