Guests invited to Virginia Private College Week, July 27-Aug. 1
Liberty University will welcome prospective college students from across the commonwealth for Virginia Private College Week, July 27-Aug. 1. Application fees will be waived during this time for participants.
The program, sponsored by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia, encourages rising high school juniors and seniors who are Virginia residents, as well as prospective transfer students, to visit universities in the commonwealth and see all that university life has to offer. Liberty has participated in this event for the past seven years.
“Liberty University is excited to participate again this year in this special week,” said Ed Parker, associate director of the Visitors Center. “Many people think that the summertime is when colleges are a little slower and not the place to visit, but this week draws hundreds of students and their family members to our campus. We look forward to hosting over 800 guests over the course of this exciting week.”
Those interested in Liberty are also welcome to attend My Liberty Monday on Aug. 3 and Friendly Friday on Aug. 7 (These events recur throughout the year). These events are designed to give potential students and their families key information about life at Liberty through tours of its growing campus, including academic, recreational, and athletic facilities. Guests will also hear from faculty as well as admissions and financial aid personnel.
Registration is not required for Virginia Private College Week, but those interested are asked to call (434) 582-2064 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for the program schedule.
