Golf team’s clubhouse on Liberty Mountain officially open

Liberty University’s Athletics Department unveiled its newest athletics facility during Homecoming weekend with the grand opening of the Clarkson Clubhouse, the new home for Liberty’s golf program.

The Clarkson Center, located on top of Liberty Mountain in Rustburg, features coaching staff office space, player locker rooms and lounges, meeting rooms, and a picturesque grand lobby that overlooks the Flames’ driving range and putting greens.

Before a crowd of more than 100 people, the 4,600-square-foot facility was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks by Liberty Director of Athletics Jeff Barber, Liberty Head Men’s Golf Coach Jeff Thomas, and Mike Hall, the program’s first head coach.
