The newest members of the Jerry Falwell Legacy Society at Liberty University were presented with framed certificates at the Chancellor’s Legacy Dinner Saturday night at Campus North.

On April 30, at the last convocation of the spring semester, Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. challenged the Class of 2008 to start giving back to Liberty — “even if it is just $1 a month until you are able to give more,” he said.
Statistics show Liberty University alumni have a strong record of paying back their student loans. Their rate of default — missing payments for months in a row — is far lower than the state and national averages. Here are a few comparisons:
This year’s Homecoming event, themed “Come Home to Liberty,” has been expanded to include a full weekend of activities for Liberty alumni, Oct. 23-25. The weekend will allow alumni to reconnect through fellowship and activities that help them recall the special times they had at LU.
Liberty University employee Jodie Walton lent his talent in designing a billboard logo currently displayed on 29 North for the Lynchburg Community Dialogue on Race & Racism. Walton, office manager of the Center for Multicultural Enrichment — a department of Student Affairs — has a passion for graphic design and public service.
