Quiz Bowl has been called the "varsity sport of the mind." Teams play games consisting of two 9-minute halves by answering a variety of questions on literature, history, geography, government, the sciences, math, art, popular culture, and sports.

Liberty's Quiz Bowl team has competed in the Big South Conference since 2006, winning the conference tournament our first three years, and finishing in third place in 2009. In addition, we finished fifth at the College Bowl regionals at the University of Tennessee in 2007, and finished sixth in the regionals at Virginia Tech in 2008.

Dr. Jim Nutter, coach of our Quiz Bowl team, is always searching for new players, so if you have a quick mind and know lots of trivia and obscure facts, please contact him for a tryout.
