Biography

Serving as the Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Dr. Madea assists in the Osteopathic Manipulation Medicine course, Patient-Centered Medicine course and as a pediatric lecturer at LUCOM. She also serves as a third-year pediatric clinical rotation preceptor and assistant pediatric clerkship director. Currently, she sits on the Wellness Committee, is a co-sponsor for the ACOP club, student advisor and involved with academic curriculum reform.

Dr. Madea became aware of LUCOM through the Christian Medical and Dental Association. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Lynchburg Academy of Medicine.

Her undergraduate degree is in Music with a concentration in technology from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. She then went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Blacksburg, VA. She completed her residency training at Virginia Tech Carilion Pediatric Residency in 2018.
