The Financial Aid Office at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) is here to help you finance your medical education during your time at LUCOM. As a participant in various federal aid programs, LUCOM can help you in several ways.
In preparing for medical school it is wise to begin the financial aid process as early as possible in order to secure the best funding for your education. This is especially true when it comes to competing for scholarships. The process of securing funding for your medical education can be broken down into four simple steps:
1. Complete the FAFSA: Complete your FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov with your FSA ID and with Liberty’s school code (010392). You must complete the FAFSA to be considered for federal and institutional aid.
3. Apply for Loans: Learn about and apply for federal and private loans.
4. Complete Financial Check-In: Once you have submitted all requested documents and your financial aid is ready, log into ASIST and complete Financial Check-In (FCI) before each term’s deadline to secure classes and avoid a late check-in fee. For step-by-step guidance and more information about FCI, please visit Financial Check-In Resources.
