All osteopathic medical students are required to take COMLEX Levels 1, 2-CE, and 2-PE. COMLEX Level 3 is taken during post-graduate medical training. The National Board of Osteopathic Medicine Examiners (NBOME) website provides descriptions and additional information about the COMLEX exams.

Students take the COMLEX Level 1 following completion of OMS-II, Level 2-CE prior to beginning OMS-IV, and Level 2-PE during the OMS-IV year. Level 3 must be taken after graduation.
