Entrance Assessment Exams
Overview
Below you’ll find important details regarding each of LUOA’s Entrance Assessment Exams. If your student needs to take one of these exams, you’ll receive an email from the admissions team once the assessment has been loaded onto your account and is ready to access.

Elementary School Readiness Tests
Kindergarten
- The Kindergarten Readiness Test has 12 questions in Literacy and 13 in Math.
1st Grade
- The 1st Grade Readiness Test has 30 questions in Literacy and 25 in Math.
2nd Grade
- The 2nd Grade Readiness Test has 45 questions in Literacy and 53 in Math.
3rd Grade
- The 3rd Grade Readiness Test has 19 questions in Literacy and 38 in Math.
4th Grade
- The 4th Grade Readiness Test has 34 questions in Literacy and 39 in Math.
5th Grade
- The 5th Grade Readiness Test has 33 questions in Literacy and 33 in Math.
Special Instructions
- Some questions have multiple parts.
- Students should expect each exam to take about 1-2 hours, depending on their reading level.
- Each exam must be done in 1 login session.
- 1st- and 2nd-grade tests have built-in breaks for the students.
- Students are to take the tests without any outside assistance.
Middle School Readiness Tests
6th Grade
- The Math 6 Readiness Test has 54 questions.
- The Language Arts 6 Readiness Test has 60 questions.
7th Grade
- The Math 7 Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The Language Arts 7 Readiness Test has 60 questions.
8th Grade
- The Math 8 Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The Language Arts 8 Readiness Test has 60 questions.
Special Instructions

High School Readiness Tests
9th-12th Grade
- The Algebra 1 Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The Geometry Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The Algebra 2 Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The Pre-Calculus Readiness Test has 50 questions.
- The English 9 Readiness Test has 52 questions.
- The Spanish 2 Readiness Test has 50 questions.

High School Comprehensive Tests
9th-12th Grade
- The Earth Science Comprehensive Test has 70 questions.
- The Biology Comprehensive Test has 70 questions.
