Dual Enrollment Admissions
Admission Requirements for Our Online Dual Enrollment Program
The Dual Enrollment courses offered by Liberty University Online Academy are available for juniors and seniors. Students in the program can begin taking college courses as early as the summer after 10th grade. We recommend that students enroll in no more than 2 courses (6 credits) per subterm (8 weeks) to ensure academic success.
Please note: During the summer, B and D subterms typically overlap.

Dual Enrollment Program Policies
- Students cannot enroll in classes until all admission requirements have been met.
- Dual Enrollment students are enrolled through Liberty University Online Academy and are only allowed to take select courses approved by Liberty University Online Academy.
- Once a student earns a high school diploma, General Equivalency Development certificate (GED), or other high school graduation certificate, they will no longer be able to enroll in LUOA Dual Enrollment classes. Instead, they will need to apply to a college degree program (residential or online).
- Students must take courses specific to completion of the high school diploma as a first priority. The A La Carte program limits the maximum credits a student can take to 36. However, with review and approval by administration, additional credits may be allowed.
- Prior to enrolling in university courses, students must take math and English assessment tests. This helps us determine the best course placement for student success.
- Students who fail a Dual Enrollment credit course may repeat the course one time. However, the student must pay the tuition for the repeated course. The original and second attempt grades are listed on the LUOA high school transcript and factored into the student’s overall LUOA GPA.
- Students who receive a failing grade, or are administratively withdrawn, from any two Dual Enrollment courses at any time are no longer eligible for the Dual Enrollment program. The student may continue to enroll in LUOA high school courses.
- Financial Aid is not available for Dual Enrollment students.
- Upper-level Dual Enrollment courses are only available for students in the Associate Degree Tracks.
