Course Description

This semester-long course encourages students to establish a biblical view of bodily fitness through physical activity. The course guides the students in safe and appropriate techniques for skills such as stretching, jumping, running, core development , plyometrics, and other lifetime fitness activities. Students demonstrate participation by the submission of an activity journal and mastery through the submission of video recordings of the students’ exercise activities. While HPEB150 is designed for ninth-grade students, the course can be taken by any high school student.

Module 4: Resistance & Circuit Training

  • Week 11: Circuit Training

Module 5: Sprinting & Running

  • Week 12: Sprint Drills 
  • Week 13: Distance Running

Module 6: Other Fitness Activities

  • Week 14: Balance & Dance
  • Week 15: Group Activity

Module 7: Plyometrics & Outdoor Fitness

  • Week 16: Plyometrics
  • Week 17: Plyometrics with Equipment
  • Week 18: Final Project
