SCI 0500: 5th Grade Science
06/01/2026 to 05/30/2027 • Modified 04/21/2026Course Description
The fifth-grade standards emphasize investigations. The organization, analysis, and application of data are important focuses of scientific inquiry. Science skills from preceding grades, including questioning, using and validating evidence, and systematic experimentation, are reinforced at this level. Students are introduced to more detailed concepts of energy and electricity. Students explore the key concepts of matter. Students will learn about Creationeering™ and follow the identified steps to make their own impact in the world around them. Students will explore the wonderful Earth that the Lord created and discover what makes Earth so unique. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of the resources God has provided within His creation and learn how to be responsible stewards of natural resources.
