Course Description

An introduction to the organizational and operational dynamics of the various global industries and their rapidly growing importance to the world’s national economics and governments. Various aspects of the industries will be explored.

Rationale

Every student of international business must be able to identify the key industry drivers of globalization, discuss the functions of global operations, and describe various industries in terms of their structure, characteristics, and issues. This course provides instruction in each of these three critical skill areas. Thus, the prime objective of this course is to guide the learner through a process by which he/she can build and improve these skills.

Discussions (4)

The student will complete four (4) Discussions in this course. The student will post one thread of at least 150 words, supporting his/her assertions with at least 3 scholarly citations in APA format. The student must then post two (2) replies of at least 100 words each, incorporating at least 2 scholarly citations in APA format. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five years.

Case Study Analysis Assignments (2)

The student will complete two (2) Case Study Analysis Assignments. The student will respond to the provided Case Study Analysis questions for each Case Study Analysis Assignment with a minimum of 150 words in APA format. An annotated reference section must include at least 2 academic references published within the last five years.

Essay: Biblical Perspective Assignments (2)

The student will write two (2) 450–500-word Essays, using APA format, from a biblical perspective on key issues raised by the Case Studies. The student will use biblical references and a minimum of 3 academic references to support his/her points. In addition to the essay, a cover page and a reference page are required.
