HPEG 0200: Girls Health II
06/01/2026 to 05/30/2027 • Modified 04/14/2026
Course Description
This semester-long course encourages students to establish a biblical perspective on the body, health, and self-image. Emphasis is placed on the development of overall health- spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Lessons include developing spiritual disciplines and a biblical self-image, emotional intelligence, and healthy social interactions. Physical health is examined from the perspective of developing and maintaining a healthy body, as well as avoiding disease and substance abuse. Additionally, the concepts of safety and emergency response, as they relate to the overall health of the individual and others, are examined. Finally, students review community health and careers in healthcare that contribute to its maintenance. Students compile a comprehensive wellness plan examining all these areas of focus. While HPEG200 is designed for tenth-grade students, the course can be taken by any high school student.
