How to complete Financial Check-In


Welcome to Liberty University's Online Academy! If you have claimed your account through Liberty University you are now ready to complete Financial Check-In. Please follow the steps below. If you are receiving error messages and would like assistance, please call the IT Helpdesk at 866-447-2869.



Step 1

Go to Liberty's Website


Step 2

Click myLU Sign In at the top of the page


Step 3

Login using your student's username and password


Step 4

Select ASIST



On the Main Menu, select Student



From the Student Menu, select Financial Check- In

Note- On this screen, you should see your Name and ID on the right side.  You can watch the tutorial on completing Financial Check-In (located lower on the right side), if you desire.



Click Select under your current term.

STEP 7 – If your chosen start date is anytime between July 2017 – June 2018, please select YEAR 2017/2018 Online Academy. If you are taking courses in the Dual Enrollment program that have e-resource fees or course fees, they will appear along with your class tuition charges.



Click on each icon and read through the page.

A. Policies and Procedures: read through policies and click Accept to move to the next page

B. Payment Plan Selection: As an Academy Student you have the option of payment in full, a 5 month payment plan and a 10 month payment plan.  (There is a one-time $45.00 fee for setting up a Payment Plan.) Once you select your payment plan choice, you must select Accept This Plan to move on.

C. Address Verification:  It is important that we have accurate and up-to-date contact information.  If what is listed is correct, please select Continue.  If any change is needed, please select Update Addresses on ASIST.

D. Check-In Confirmation: At the bottom of the Check-In Contract page, you will find the contract. Please read the contract, click the box that states I agree to the terms and conditions above and then Continue.  This is a legal and binding contract.

E. Payment Plan Agreement: select a payment method- you must enter either checking account or credit card information.  (Note: This is an automated payment plan - you are not required to mail or call in payments). Click Complete Financial Check-In.



Check-In Receipt:  Please print this page for your records showing the following details:

  • Summary of Account
  • Payment Plan with draft dates and amounts
  • Contract


You have now completed Financial Check-In!  Please be sure to check your e-mail frequently over the coming weeks to receive important information concerning the start date for your student. If you have any additional questions or need assistance, please call our office at 1-866-418-8741.
