Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine is a non-invasive, hands-on approach that is used to diagnose, treat, and even prevent illness and injury. It is taught under the osteopathic philosophy of treating the whole person, not just symptoms and the principle that the structure of the body is related to its function and wellness. The goal of OMM is to restore the body to normal function. By doing so, the treatment improves the patient’s health and improves or prevents disease, aches, and pains without medications or surgery.
If you are interested in receiving this free OMM treatment, please call Joyce Scott, Administrative Assistant for the Department of Clinical Medicine, at (434) 582-2160 to schedule your appointments.
*Any person receiving treatment related to a workman’s compensation case, engaged in evaluation for or receiving treatment for a disability claim, or involved in any current or potential legal proceeding related to injury or professional health care-related treatment is excluded from this complimentary clinic.
