2022 Summer Music Camps

Registration Closed!

Summer Music Camps at Liberty University have a tradition of inspiring high school students to live passionately for Jesus and worship Him boldly, while also upholding and developing stylistic diversity and skilled musicianship.  Campers may choose to stay on campus in the dorms or attend locally.  Camp staff include current Liberty University Graduate and Undergraduate Students, Staff, and Faculty who lead daily devotions and all camp activities. Campers will experience the adventures of Liberty’s own year-round Snowflex and bowling alley, as well as dining halls and other on-campus recreation and natural beauty on Liberty Mountain! Check in begins the Sunday afternoon of each camp week. We look forward to seeing you here soon!

Week 1 – June 12-18

Option 1: Commercial Music Camp

Campers will explore Songwriting, Recording Engineering & Producing, Artist Development, and Film Scoring alongside professionals who love to teach and share their experiences and insight from a Biblical foundation.  Choose to hone your skills in one area or explore them all with sessions designed for any level of experience! Applicants will need to prepare an audition video to be placed at the right level of instruction for this camp.

Option 2: Instrumental Music Camp

For the Band, Orchestra, and Chamber Music lovers! Students will be placed in instrumental studios (just like the college students at Liberty!) to work alongside our professional educators and performers on their specific primary instrument. Each day will also include various ensemble opportunities, masterclasses, studio recitals and fun breaks to enjoy the beauty of Liberty University’s campus. Applicants will need to prepare an audition video to be placed at the right level of instruction for this camp.

Week 2 – June 19-25 – Music and Worship Camp

Music & Worship Camp at Liberty University prepares students to participate and lead in their churches, schools, and communities as instrumentalists and vocalists in a wide range of styles and settings. Students integrate Biblical and musical skills to improve their ability to plan, participate in, and lead worship. This camp ends with the option to participate in some specially designed workshops at the SBCVA’s Worship and Technology Conference, which will be held at the LU School of Music Friday and Saturday. Applicants will need to prepare an audition video to be placed at the right level of instruction for this camp.
