Michael Foster

Dr. Foster has a doctorate in voice performance from the University of Illinois where he studied with Grammy-winning, Metropolitan Opera baritone Nathan Gunn. Michael performs both musical theatre and opera, and regularly leads praise and worship for churches in the Central Florida area. Notable musical theatre roles include Gaston in Beauty and the Beast for the Walt Disney Company, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, and Smudge in Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings. He has also performed roles such as Figaro in the Marriage Of Figaro and Sid in Albert Herring, and is a regular on the recital stage. As a teacher, Dr. Foster encourages to young artists to think as entrepreneurs and connects them to resources, which help them connect to their audience both on stage and off.
