Isaac Gibson, Ski and Snowboard Coach

Bio: Through undergrad, Isaac competed on the LU Ski & Snowboard Team and worked multiple positions at Snowflex. Starting on slope operations, quickly moving to a rental tech, and finishing out his time as a student worker instructing. It was in the years of instructing Isaac discovered his passion for teaching. This passion led to an opportunity to take a full-time position at Snowflex overseeing and creating a program to build up a community of young skiers and snowboarders in our area. After three months Isaac also took on the role of ski school director. He now continues to oversee the ski school and Next Level Development Program, as well as coaching the LU Ski & Snowboard Team and running summer camps.


Noah Alston

Ski: Beginner
Snowboard: Beginner-Freestyle

Bio: Noah is an advanced snowboarding instructor. He can teach you card tricks, how to defeat your enemies, and possibly skiing. He is known for hardly leaving the facility and snowboarding 100% of the time. After snowboarding for 8 years and instructing for 5, he has discovered his passion for teaching others and definitely knows what he’s talking about!


Blane Cook

Ski: Beginner
Snowboard: Beginner

Bio: Blane teaches ski and snowboard lessons on weekends and for the Next Level Development Program. Blane is currently going to Jefferson Forest High School and is involved in YoungLife, Track and Field, and the worship tech team at his church. In his free time, Blane enjoys snowboarding, building things, hunting, fishing, and occasionally surfing. His goal is to eventually earn a 4-year degree in Aeronautics and become a Commercial Airline Pilot. Blane became a ski and snowboard instructor because of his passion for the winter sport, and his love of teaching the knowledge and joy of riding to as many people as possible!


Elijah Haita

Ski: Beginner-Freestyle
Snowboard: Beginner

Bio: Elijah teaches beginner through freestyle ski lessons as well as beginner snowboarding lessons. He grew up in Stephentown, New York and has been skiing since he was 2 years old. Elijah is on the Liberty University Freestyle Ski Team and is currently studying Criminal Justice: Homeland Security. He plans to join the military after graduation. Fun fact: Elijah has also exceeded 80 MPH on skis!


Matt Raner

Ski: Beginner
Snowboard: Beginner

Bio: Matt specializes in ski lessons but has the capability of teaching snowboarding lessons as well. He grew up skiing in North Carolina. He is currently majoring in Computer Science and will be graduating in the spring of 2021. Matt became an instructor to help other people to grow in their skills and be able to enjoy the sport.



Ian Rosario

Ski: Beginner
Snowboard: Beginner-Freestyle

Bio: Ian specializes in our snowboarding lessons but also enjoys ski lessons as he is a certified PSIA Level 1 Ski instructor. Ian has been on snow for 8 years. He started out skiing and switched to snowboarding after a year, but he has been doing both regularly since he started teaching 4 years ago. He is studying for an Aeronautics Bachelors’ degree in Unmanned Aerial Systems and enjoys competing on the Liberty University Club Sports Snowboard Team and riding at Snowflex in his free time. Ian became an instructor to share his passion for snow sports with everyone and give them a great experience at Snowflex.
