Campus Recreation Office
Campus Recreation proudly serves the Liberty University community with a wide variety of programs and facilities. With recreation professionals in various fields, our staff passionately lends their expertise to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and comes alongside you to help round out your college life with experiences outside of the classroom.
Marketing & Creative
Work with the Assistant Director of Marketing to learn transferable skills such as interviewing, portfolio development, resume and cover letter development, and public speaking. This internship is open to graphic designers, photographers, and videographers. While in this internship you will be required to develop materials and assist other creatives on our marketing team to complete excellent work in a timely manner.
- Contribute and work well with a creative team
- Manage and complete assigned projects on time
- Complete 2 presentations
- Available 15-18 hours/week for the duration of the internship

LaHaye Rec & Fit and David’s Place
Interested in rock climbing, aquatics, or fitness? Then you’ve come to the right place! LaHaye Rec & Fit offers recreational and fitness environments for Liberty University community and has various positions available.
Compete, fellowship, boost leadership and management skills, and relieve stress — all with Intramural Sports! Intramural Sports programs are a fun way for you to build cardio-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility.

The Liberty Outdoor Recreation department provides outdoor trips, events, and manages the Hydaway Outdoor Recreation Center. We work to provide diverse outdoor experiences and opportunities that challenge the whole person – spiritually, physically and educationally.

We are continually seeking students to partner with us to maintain the Liberty Mountain Trail System by cleaning our trails. Students who sign up for the cleaning crew (30 spots available) can volunteer during operating hours Thursday-Sunday.
Montview Bowling Alley and Montview Game Room
The Montview Bowling Alley and Montview Game Room offer recreational activities and fun for the Liberty community (Game Room is students only). These facilities are staffed with a member services team available for questions and providing checkout equipment.

Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre
Liberty Snowflex exists to provide both Liberty University students and the general public with an excellent, non-traditional outdoor mountain experience. We do this by utilizing our year-round snow sports surfaces, our Barrick-Falwell Lodge event space and by equipping our employees with the necessary training and experience to enrich the lives of all Liberty Snowflex guests.
Liberty Mountain Gun Club
LMGC has rifle, pistol, shotgun, and archery facilities for use by students, faculty, and staff. With open range time, safety classes, Club Sports team usage, and numerous other activities, the range offers something for everyone interested in shooting sports. The range welcomes those who have never used a firearm before to Olympic shooting hopefuls, and everywhere in between.
Liberty Mountain Equestrian Center
The Equestrian Center maintains up to 55 horses and offers programs such as boarding, trail rides, elective classes and competitions. We are housed on 300 beautiful acres on Candler’s Mountain and are open to visitors during designated hours. Whether you have equine experience or not, it is a unique and peaceful opportunity to interact with the animals.
CSER positions are available. These positions typically help with barn maintenance and do not interact with horses directly. If interested, please email the Equestrian Center.
