With the current state of affairs, we are saddened to announce that we will be making changes to our calendar for the remainder of the semester. This will include cancelled trips, events and programming for Spring 2020. If you have already registered for a trip, you will be contacted. If you live locally, we encourage you to reach out to the wonderful outfitters we use and safely participate in an outdoor adventure if you are able. The Hydaway Outdoor Recreation Center offers a variety of opportunities for facility rental. The facilities are available for reservation by Liberty students, faculty, and staff. Groups not affiliated with the University should email Hydaway for more information.
Hydaway offers several different options to reserve various spaces around our facility! Our facility provides a great outdoor space for your next event.
Facilities available to reserve include the Hydaway Pavilion, Student Center and Kitchen, Bonfire Area, and Woods Pavilion.
All requests must be made 2 weeks prior to the date requested. Any requests for groups over 150 people must be made at least one month prior to the requested event.
We are currently not taking any facility reservations.
Our Challenge Course and trained staff help to create experiences that encourages teams to think outside the box and teach critical lessons.
Groups of 8-12 people are ideal for our sessions. We will work with you to customize your experience and be sure that you get the most out of your time spent with us, but ideal sessions last 2-4 hours.
We are currently not taking any Challenge Course reservations.
Do you feel like camping? Hydaway has several campsites available for students, faculty and staff. Reservations are available for most Friday and Saturday nights during the school year.
Our sites are located on the outskirts of Lake Hydaway. The sites are equipped with fire pits, ample tent space and food storage. We do not have power/water at these sites, though the restroom facilities are available during your stay.

4-6 High Experience for $25/person (group of 15 or less). For each additional 5 people we will give 1 complimentary registration (20 people = pay for 19 people). Our full 4 hour session includes introductory activities, team building games, and low/high element participation for the entire group. This package features high elements which involve climbing harnesses and high elements (25-35 feet).
2-4 Low Experience for $10/person (group of 15 or less). For each additional 5 people we will give you 1 complimentary registration. Our full 2-4 hour low session includes introductory activities, team building games, and low elements for your entire group, no high elements.
