For the second year in a row, a group of student-doctors from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) will flip flapjacks for a great cause.
LUCOM-Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) will host its Pancakes for Parkinson’s fundraiser at the Center for Medical and Health Sciences on Nov. 30, from 5:30-7 p.m.
This event is open to the public. LUCOM student-doctors, Liberty University undergraduate students, and residents of the Lynchburg community are invited to attend.
“We hope to provide an event where everyone can come together to eat pancakes in the spirit of service,” said student-doctor Pranamya Mahankali, Class of 2018 and LUCOM-SOMA vice president. “What’s more fun than having breakfast for dinner?”
For $5, you can enjoy “all you can eat” pancakes. Last year, the group raised $400 during the event.
All proceeds go directly to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation. The foundation leads the way in research, education and advocacy for Parkinson’s disease.
