Former LUCOM graduate and current faculty member, Travis Engel, DO, MSc, was named the National Faculty Chair of Pediatrics for The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) on Jan. 6.
Engel was an inaugural graduate of LUCOM in 2018 and now serves as pediatric clinical faculty member and Chair of Pediatric Medicine for Centra Medical Group in Lynchburg. He has served on the NBOME National Faculty since 2019, most recently on the Residency Readiness Index (RRI) – Pediatrics Focus Group.
The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides competency assessments for osteopathic medical licensure and related health care professions.
The National Faculty Chair positions are effective January 2025.
