We offer training classes on the technology related products and services used at Liberty University. These training classes are available to faculty and staff in a few different formats including on-demand, remote, and in-person.

On-Demand Courses
Banner Basics
This on-demand training course covers navigation, using forms/pages, and other basics of using Banner Admin. Participation in this course is required to gain permissions.
Note: Obtaining Banner permissions is a multi-step process. See the course for more information.
BuyLU Basics
To gain access to advanced permissions in BuyLU, you must complete FIN 100, FIN 102, and FIN 210. To learn more and for more information on how to register for courses, please visit the Procurement page. Once the prerequisite classes are completed, you can request access using the button below.
Etrieve by Softdocs
Etrieve by SoftDocs is the document management system at Liberty University that eliminates the need for paper-based records and business processes, and is the virtual filing cabinet where adding documents, querying/searching, making annotations, and deleting documents takes place.
Note: Obtaining Etrieve permissions is a multi-step process. This is the first required step to obtaining Etrieve permissions. See the course for more information.
New Employee Technology Orientation
Get a valuable introduction to the University’s Technology resources: software pre-loaded on your work devices, and additional titles available for free and easy installation; file storage and online collaboration tools; and resources available for free installation on your personal devices, including Microsoft Office Suites, Adobe Creative Cloud, and more!
Qualtrics
Discover powerful Analytics with Qualtrics. Learn how to create and manage meaningful forms, record your analytics, and share your forms with the University.
Note: You must have permission from your Division Administrator (DA) before you may gain access into Qualtrics. In the meantime, you may request access into the course using the button to the right.
WebDT Basics
This on-demand training course is a prerequisite to obtaining permissions to the WebDT system and covers the necessary information on managing screen content for your department. Users must view the videos found in Modules 1-5 and pass the final assessment located in Module 5 with a score of 100%.

Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe Creative Cloud is a collection of 20+ desktop and mobile apps and services for photography, design, video, web, UX, and more. The Creative Cloud is available to eligible Liberty University students, staff, and faculty members. Please see www.liberty.edu/adobe for eligibility requirements.
Adobe maintains their own robust training guides which are a great way to learn any Adobe CC product and discover all the advanced features the Adobe CC products are capable of performing. Canvas
Canvas is an easy to navigate, user-friendly learning management platform that allows institutions to build a digital learning environment that meets their unique needs and challenges. Liberty has selected the Canvas platform because it empowers institutions to impact achievement in real and significant ways through intuitive learning and dynamic and engaging content.

Concourse
Concourse is the syllabus management system we use for centralizing course syllabi here at Liberty University. Microsoft Word templates are nice, but they can produce inconsistent, incorrect, and outdated syllabi when they are embedded into a course. By housing syllabi in one place, faculty and staff can update and share them with ease. Students will be able to view and download a copy of their course syllabus from the same location. CourseLeaf
CourseLeaf is a Curriculum Inventory Management (CIM) system faculty members use for creating, editing, and approving new and existing courses and programs here at Liberty University. It offers customized online forms and automated workflows, designed to ensure accuracy with the courses and programs in our course catalog and student information system (SIS). Dropbox
Dropbox is a modern workspace designed to reduce busywork-so you can focus on the things that matter. At its core, Dropbox is a file management and file sharing interface that allows users to store, share and manage team files both offline and online in the cloud. Students, Faculty and Staff can utilize Dropbox.

IT Security Resources
Liberty University is committed to protecting the integrity of our systems and services. In this connected world, maintaining the confidentiality of student, personnel, and operational data is everyone’s responsibility. Phishing emails are one of the most common attack vectors used to steal personal information and account access. To better protect yourself against phishing attacks and to learn more about ransomware, password privacy and other security topics, please visit our IT Security portal where you can stay up-to-date on the latest phishing attempts and other security information.
Kaltura
Kaltura is a web-based video platform adopted by Liberty University. You can use Kaltura to host your existing videos, create new videos, and manage your media on your phone, tablet, or computer. Kaltura integrates with Blackboard and enhances your classroom experience by allowing you to create, upload, and share multimedia content in one central location. Kaltura allows for webcasting as well.

Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 is a powerful suite of applications that allows for document creation, spreadsheet management, slideshow presentations, email management and many other features through programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Microsoft 365 is free and available to all Faculty, Staff & Students through their Liberty University account.

Webex
WebEx conferencing lets you connect with anyone, anywhere, in real time. Webex combines desktop sharing through a web browser with phone conferencing and video, so everyone sees the same thing while you talk. Webex is available all Liberty University faculty & staff.
