Welcome to the official website of the Liberty University School of Aeronautics. During the last twelve years, our flight program has grown from four students to over six hundred, becoming the largest faith-based aviation program in North America.
The School of Aeronautics offers a four year Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics with four concentrations: Commercial/ Corporate, Missions, Military & Unmanned Aerial Systems. Beginning Fall 2014, the School of Aeronautics will also offer a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance Management.
The majority of flight training is offered at Lynchburg Regional Airport through our Part 141 flight training program. The School of Aeronautics also offers an accredited Aviation Maintenance Technician program that provides students with their Airframe and Powerplant mechanic ratings through a 12 month accelerated course.
In addition to the Lynchburg-based residential program, we recently announced the expansion of our school through a Flight Training Affiliate program. Our partnership with the Cessna Aircraft Company will allow students to receive flight training at Cessna Pilot Centers across the nation while working on their Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics through Liberty University Online.
