Scholarships Offered by School of Aeronautics
- LaFleur Memorial Scholarship
- The Ethan LaFleur Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by the LaFleur’s in honor of their son, Ethan, who once attended Liberty University School of Aeronautics. This fund is open to all Residential Flight Course Students. It is designed to help students apply for assistance when having trouble funding the end of their flight course. Note: NCAA Scholarship and GI Bill® recipients are not eligible.

National Aviation Explorer Scholarship
- Eligibility: Applicant must be currently registered and active in an Aviation Explorer post
- Amount: $5,000 – $10,000
- Deadline: March 31
The Paramount Business Jets Aviation Scholarship
- Who: Paramount Business Jets
- Eligibility: Must be a current aviation student at a university, college, or flight training program
- Amount: Awarded to three individuals for Spring 2020, up to $1,250.00 each.

Joseph Frasca Excellence in Aviation Scholarship
- Who: University Aviation Association
- Eligibility: Must be a junior or senior in a UAA member institution
- Amount: $2,000
- Deadline: June 30

Northrop Rice Foundation
- Eligibility: A student may not apply for a scholarship or award previously won by the student.
Pat Napolitano Memorial Scholarship for Aspiring Aviation Technicians
- Eligibility:
- Current college students and graduating high school seniors pursuing or planning to pursue their aviation technician certification may apply for this scholarship.
- There is no residency requirement for this scholarship, but preference will be given to U.S. citizens.
- There is no minimum GPA requirement for this scholarship

- Eligibility: Must be a high school, College or vocational/technical school student who plans to attend or is attending an accredited school in an avionics or aircraft maintenance program

Flight Training
Pioneers of Flight Scholarship
- Eligibility: Must be in their sophomore or junior year who are enrolled in a full-time aviation degree program at an accredited four-year college or university; a high academic achiever with a 3.0 GPA or better, on a 4.0 scale; able to demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in general aviation

Minorities
NHCFAE Charitable Foundation Scholarship Program
- Eligibility:
- NHCFAE members
- Children or legal dependents under the age of 25 of NHCFAE members
- Spouses of NHCFAE members
NHCFAE members, either applying directly or serving as a sponsor, must be a dues paying NHCFAE member for at least 1 year as of the scholarship application deadline.
Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative, unweighted grade point average. Applicants with a grade point average below 3.0 are not eligible to apply.
Children, dependents or spouses applying for support must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in their academic program. NHCFAE member applicants may study part-time.
Applicants will not be discriminated on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.
- Amount: Depending on the amount of funding raised prior to award, scholarships will be no lower than $500 for one year of academic study at an accredited college or university. The scholarship is not renewable, however, applicants may apply every year they are eligible, whether or not they received an award in the past. All scholarships are subject to availability of funding.
Women in Aviation
- Eligibility: Rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering, math or science; Must have completed at least two and a half academic years of full-time college work at the time of application; Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States or its territories and plan to be enrolled in the subsequent academic year; Must be female of any nationality

Richard L. Taylor Flight Training Scholarship
- Eligibility: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, be enrolled in a flight program through the college/university with aspirations to become a professional pilot (general or commercial aviation), have a private pilot’s license (a copy must be included in the application the packet), have a GPA of 3.0 or greater (applicant must submit an official transcript), submit an essay about aviation, your goals and dreams and why you should receive this scholarship, complete the official application. If applying as an incoming freshman, provide the acceptance letter from the college/university at which the applicant will be attending and an official high school transcript.

Funded by donations to AOPA
- Eligibility: Be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, and at least 16 years of age at the time of application. There are no exceptions to this. If you will not be 16 years old by May 31, 2017, then you are not eligible to apply. You must also hold a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate at the time of application and be a current member of AOPA at both the time of application and when the scholarship is awarded. You cannot have completed the FAA practical test/checkride at the time of application.
