At the Liberty University School of Aeronautics (LUSOA), we are proud to offer hands-on classes that will equip you for a future career as a professional pilot. Become a pilot under the guidance of faculty who have dedicated their lives to Christ and to the training of future Champions. These men and women were leaders in military, commercial, corporate, and missionary fields.

LUSOA operates top-of-the-line training aircraft and flight simulators that have Garmin G1000 flight systems and several additional safety systems such as Angle of Attack (AOA) indicators and Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) to enhance your training and safety.
Other unique training programs features include upset recovery training in the Extra 330 high-performance aircraft during the Commercial Pilot course and spin training in the Extra 330 during the initial flight instructor course. You will have the opportunity to be employed as a school flight instructor upon completion of your flight instructor certificate.
Professional Pilot Degrees
B.S. in Aeronautics: Commercial/Corporate
The Commercial/Corporate cognate is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to be a pilot for an airline or aviation company.
B.S. in Aeronautics: Global Studies
With our Global Studies cognate, you’ll learn the skills needed to fly for various organizations. You can also study for multiple certificates and build the mechanical skills needed to service your aircraft.
B.S. in Aeronautics: Military
Our Military cognate helps to prepare you for success in the armed services. Study for your certifications as you gather the skills needed for a military career.
