Biography

Kelsey Phillips serves as a full-time assistant professor for both undergraduate and graduate courses. She began her studies in traditional illustration and has since integrated an additional area of expertise in typography. Recently, Phillips completed a prestigious certification in Typeface Design from Type@Cooper through The Cooper Union in New York City. This scope of expertise allowed Phillips to develop a creative brand called Clever & Bright, through which she has worked with notable clients such as HarperCollins and had her typographic work featured in creative publications. As a teacher, Phillips brings hands-on experience to the classroom while promoting the integration of conceptual thinking.
