Rawlings Ministry Loan Repayment Program
The Rawlings Ministry Loan Repayment Program was established to support graduates of Liberty University who have entered full time ministry.
Program Information
- The program will pay up to $30,000 over a 5-year period with a maximum annual payment of $6,000.
- Federal student loans obtained while enrolled in a Liberty University in an undergraduate program of study with a degree from the Rawlings School of Divinity are eligible for repayment.
Applicant requirements
- LRP loan payments are limited to qualified graduates who received a degree from the Rawlings School of Divinity. Current undergraduate seniors may be accepted into the program pending final approval with the initial disbursement taking place after the approved applicant has graduated and begun full time ministry.
- Recipients must hold a full-time position as an employee of a church that is local to them throughout their enrollment in the program.
- All applicants shall submit the online application available through the Liberty University website. The application will require:
- A Call to Ministry Statement
- A personal testimony
- A resume
- A signed letter (on church stationary) from the Senior Pastor, Elder, Chairman of Deacons, or similar leading church officer, affirming the applicant’s employment and church duties.
- The applicant’s contact information, including: full name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.
- All award recipients must be recertified yearly, identifying any changes in duties or role within the church, to RMLoanRepay@liberty.edu.
- Applicants must sign a statement affirming their rights and responsibilities under the program and a media release.
