Club Mission Statement
The world’s largest Christmas project of its kind, Operation Christmas Child, uses gift-filled shoeboxes to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.
Over the past 20 years, people from all over have packed more than 100 million shoeboxes
What To Expect as a Member
The OCC club at Liberty University meets at least once a month during the school year. The major time of this group is the fall leading up to LU Blitz Week. Blitz week is the second week of November, when shoebox gifts are collected across campus.
Participants can expect to gain skills in leadership and communication through helping promote packing of shoeboxes as well as collection.
Club Accomplishments
Over the past three years, Liberty University has packed more than 4,000 shoeboxes.
