LU Scuba Club

Club Mission Statement

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. God called the dry ground “land”, and the gathered waters He called “seas”. And God said that it was good.

Liberty University Scuba Club will allow students to combine their two passions – their love for Jesus Christ and their love of diving. The club will be dedicated to God, our Creator, and His underwater creation that we as divers have been given the privilege to enjoy. Club members will be committed to family, service, instruction, prayer, praise and fellowship through our devotion to advancing God’s Kingdom.

God’s desire for us is that we “connect” and support each other in the joys and struggles of life. Club members will come together with other believers in an authentic, accepting, and accountable circle of friends.

Club Accomplishments

Each year the LU Scuba Club has provided opportunities for club members to participate in fall and spring scuba diving trips, such as the Georgia Aquarium, Baltimore Aquarium, North Carolina wreck diving and Florida Keys diving.

Additional Club Information

Liberty University Scuba Club offers students the opportunity to belong to a school scuba diving club, meet fellow student scuba divers, attend presentations from divers and scuba-related organizations, earn scuba diving certifications through club training, and work towards an awareness to ocean conservation and marine life.
