Citations
The Liberty University Police Department (LUPD) has numerous actions they can utilize to enforce traffic and parking policies aboard university owned and controlled properties. These include verbal or written warnings, a Liberty University Citation, or a Virginia Uniformed Summons.
LUPD personnel will observe the following fine schedule for moving, parking, and pedestrian violations that take place on Liberty University property in which a Liberty University Citation is issued.
Police Officers may, at their discretion, issue a Virginia Uniform Traffic Summons only in the following situations:
- MVA Hit and Runs
- Reckless Driving
- DUI
Students will be assessed this fine through their student accounts; however, faculty and staff will be notified to pay their fine at the LUPD front office desk.
