Operation Identification
Operation Identification is a nationally recognized theft-prevention program designed to make personal property less attractive to thieves and easier to recover if stolen. The program involves engraving a unique identification number onto valuable items, which helps law enforcement return recovered property to its rightful owner.
Engraving tools are available for use at the Liberty University Police Department (LUPD). To participate in the program, students, faculty, and staff must present both a valid State ID and their Liberty University Flames Pass to verify identity.
To use an engraver or learn more about the program, please contact the LUPD front desk during business hours:
Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
