Department Highlight: Center for Chaplaincy

At the Center for Chaplaincy, located in the Freedom Tower, we seek to advance the gospel through the lens of our vision statement “Training Chaplains to be Champions for Christ.” With a robust online program including a brand-new online Bachelor of Science in Chaplaincy, as well as our continued Master of Arts in Chaplaincy, Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy, and the Doctor of Ministry in Chaplaincy, we seek to reach all corners of the world with the gospel. When you enroll in our courses, you will be taught by Christ-minded professors who look to come alongside you in every step of your ministry journey. We are committed to educating and equipping chaplain students to be sent by the local church to bear the presence and message of Christ everywhere.

Department of Veterans Affairs Updates

The VA has transitioned away from the WAVE enrollment verification system to the Verify Your Enrollment (VYE) system. Click here to learn more about this and how to verify your enrollment.

Starting in 2025, when you visit VA websites and apps you’ll have two secure sign-in account options through both Login.gov and ID.me. This is being done to simplify the sign in experience, and to help meet modern security standards to help prevent identity theft and medical identity theft. If you don’t already have an account, you’ll want to sign up now so you have some time to get used to it and prepare for the change. You’ll still have access to all of the same information from the VA, it’ll just be a new way to access their websites. Read more about this on the VA’s webpage.

November is Military Appreciation Month

Military Appreciation Month raises awareness and appreciation for those who have served and are serving in the United States military. Our founder, the late Dr. Jerry Falwell, led Liberty University by example, demonstrating the consistency of Christianity, patriotism, and love of country. Military Appreciation Month seeks to carry on this legacy. Once a one-day event on campus, Military Appreciation Month has been expanded to a month-long celebration in order to give greater visibility, support, and recognition to our military and veterans. Events are planned throughout campus during this month to show appreciation for the men and women who have served and are serving this great nation.

Learn more about this year’s events, and join us in celebrating our military!
