Biography
Dr. Hewitt serves as the Executive Director of Training & Innovation. He currently leads the flight training team, the advanced aviation training team, and the innovation program. He has passion for student success within aviation education, and this drives his strong desire for continuous program improvement. He coordinates with the FAA on a regular basis to ensure that our students receive excellent technical training within our Flight (Part 141), Maintenance (Part 147), and UAS (Part 107) training programs.
A native of Northern Ireland, he moved to the U.S. in 2010 and graduated from Liberty in 2014. His career has been focused on aviation education, and he has held a variety of roles within LUSOA, most recently as the Director of Flight Training. His aviation experience is primarily within the realm of General Aviation (GA), and he seeks to use this GA focus to assist in the training of future missionary pilots and mechanics.
