Jacob Harvey

Biography
Jake currently serves as an Adjunct Professor for Liberty’s Aviation Maintenance Technician Program (AMTP) and an Adjunct for the School of Aeronautics Online. He was initially exposed to aeronautics through his father’s love of the space program where they used to watch many NASA shuttle launches. Jake initially pursued a career in Mechanical Engineering before adjusting course and finding his passion for aviation. Jake earned his Airframe and Powerplant license in 2019 after attending Liberty’s AMTP. From 2019 to 2021, Jake served as an Instructional Lab Technician assisting students in projects while maintaining the maintenance programs aircraft and facilities. In 2021, Jake began instructing in the classroom in addition to the project time. During this time, Jake taught a variety of subjects but specialized in Maintenance Practices, Fuel Systems, and Exhaust. He also co-lead the Aerospace Maintenance Competition Team in 2022 and 2023. Now Jake serves as an Adjunct Professor and assists with the designing of the AMTP course delivery as well as teaching online for the School of Aeronautics.
