Canvas services have been fully restored following a cybersecurity incident that affected multiple institutions nationwide. Instructure, the platform’s developer, has confirmed that it is actively managing and resolving all aspects of the incident.
We understand the impact this disruption may have had, and we remain committed to supporting students and instructors. Guidance regarding academic flexibility will be shared as needed through official university channels.
Effective immediately, you will experience Multi-factor Authentication changes as the university works to enhance internal security measures around this incident. This is an added layer of security; we have no reason to believe any Liberty University authentication accounts were touched in the Canvas breach.
