Dr. Cleaver is originally from the Chicago area and brings a wide variety of local church and parachurch ministry experience to the classroom. He teaches our graduate and doctoral students about church history, theology, apologetics, and Christian life. He has developed and taught online and studies abroad courses in church history and theology. His research interests and publications include Patristics, Reformation, American Christianity, Anthropology, Ecclesiology, and Ethics. He is married to Amy. Together, they have two daughters and two sons.
