Liberty’s M.Div. in Professional Chaplaincy – Community is designed for leaders like you who wish to meet the spiritual needs of a community. While the term chaplain does not refer to a specific type of faith or denomination, our Master of Divinity in Community Chaplaincy will provide you with a biblical framework from a Judeo-Christian worldview.
Our online M.Div. program in community chaplaincy will prepare you to enter a variety of corporate settings to provide support and promote emotional wellness. With the constant presence of sin and tragedy in this life, there will always be a need for Christ in our communities. What Will You Study in Liberty University’s Community Chaplaincy M.Div.?

- Chaplain ethics for advisement and pastoral care
- Chaplain evangelism and discipleship
- Foundations of expository teaching and preaching
- How to help those who suffer from PTSD, combat-related trauma, and complex trauma
In all of our professional chaplaincy degrees, you will complete 63 credit hours of ministry-focused studies. You will complete courses that explore other religions, the history of Christianity, and best practices in bridging the gap between the two. Additionally, you will take Greek and Hebrew classes designed to increase your understanding of Scripture from its original languages.

- You will have the option of completing two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) as a part of your program.
- You can complete this Master of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy – Community degree program in 3 years.
