Admissions Test for BSN Applicants
All applicants to Liberty’s BSN Program are required to take the HESI Admissions Assessment (A2) Test. The assessment test is timed, lasting approximately 4 hours, and evaluates vocabulary, general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, biology, and math. The test is electronic, and students will be required to use their personal laptops.
HESI A2 Testing Dates for Spring 2026
- Tuesday, January 27 – 1 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 28 – 9 a.m.
- Monday, February 2 – 9 a.m.
- Wednesday, February 4 – 9 a.m.

Test Registration
To complete registration for the HESI A2 test, you must complete all steps below:
Step 1 – Create Elsevier Account
Step 2 – Complete HESI Student Orientation
Orientation includes the following modules*:
- PDF Guide for Personal Devices
- Hesi NG A2 Student Orientation
- Registration
- Taking the Exam
- Viewing your Results
- Remediation
*Students are required to view all modules before coming to the exam on test day.
Step 3 – Register and purchase HESI A2 test before arriving to test.
The purchase fee is $55 (Must be paid at the time of registration).
If you have an approved disability by the Office of Disability Accommodation Support, you must take the A2 test during the 9 a.m. test time.
Important Information to Know
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to testing time
- Bring your Elsevier username and password
- Bring your personal computer and charging cord
- Stay positive
